Francine Diaz and Akira Morishita are the new tandem people can look forward to as they will star in the upcoming series Bola Bola.
It will be directed by JP Habac and produced by Dreamscape Entertainment. The series serves as the first project for the two youngstars.
Diaz will play the role of Thea Balderrama who is a 220-pound late-bloomer who will fall in love with her brother’s best friend, Lucas (Morishita). Thea will then try to win the heart of Lucas through food.
The series which has the tagline “Cook, Feed, Love, Repeat” will premiere exclusively on the Kapamilya streaming platform iWantTFC.
Other cast members include Albie Casiño, Ashton Salvador, Danica Ontengco, Analain Salvador, J-Mee Katanyag, Arlene Muhlach, and Gardo Versoza.
Bola Bola will also mark the first time that Diaz will star in a series without her on-screen partner Kyle Echarri and the Gold Squad, including Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin.
The series was unveiled on December 9 after Dreamscape Entertainment shared a photo of Bola Bola‘s virtual story conference with the cast.
