Director Dolly Dulu admits to having difficulty working with new Kapamilya artists Kobie Brown, Andi Abaya, Nio Tria

On December 20, Director Dolly Dulu admitted that she had difficulty in working with new Kapamilya artists Kobie Brown, Andi Abaya, and Nio Tria.

During the media conference for her iQiyi series, Saying Goodbye, Dulu said she expected the difficulty when she worked with the new Kapamilya stars.

She also added that her goal was to make the audience see that Brown, Abaya, and Trio were good actors despite being new artists.

“Ang goal namin ng mga kids, nitong tatlong bago, is for people not to say na ‘ba’t ganon ‘yung arte nila, tapos gawin nilang excuse na bago sila.’ Ang goal namin is to make people say na, ‘uy ang galing nila kahit bago sila.’

She noted that she banked on the natural chemistry between KoDi (Brown and Abaya).

“For KoDrea, very clear ‘yung chemistry ng dalawa. Very natural. ‘Yun ‘yung minaximize namin. And I think ‘yun ‘yung magdadala sa kanila future pa.

“Pwede siyang bangkohan kasi we’re always open with that kind of chemistry.”

Dulu then praised the range of Tria despite being new in the industry.

She also thanked SethDrea (Seth Fedelin and Andrea Brillantes) for their patience working with their co-actors.

“Nagpapasalamat din ako kina Seth at kay Andrea kasi very patient sila when it comes being sa same scene with these new actors. Kasi marami kaming retakes because we wanted to–ayaw namin mag-settle.”

Their digital series stars Gold Squad members Andrea Brillantes, Seth Fedelin, new Kapamilya artists Andi Abaya, Kobie Brown, and Nio Tria.

Under Dulu’s direction, ‘Saying Goodbye’ streams for free exclusively on the iQiyi PH app or iQ.com, and new episodes drop every Saturday at 8 PM.
