Kim Chiu said it never crossed her mind to leave her home network, despite ABS-CBN’s failure to renew its franchise.
On December 12, during the press conference for her film Huwag Kang Lalabas, one of the official entries of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2021, Chiu stated how grateful she is to the Kapamilya network.
Parang nahihiya ako,” she said.
Chiu admitted she is still worried if the franchise renewal application of the ABS-CBN network would still get denied in Congress.
So, isa siyang malaking pangarap na nawala.”
Despite the lack of franchise, the Kapamilya network continues to stream its shows through online platforms, cable channels, and block time agreements with other TV networks.
Chiu is the grand winner of the Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 1 in 2006. It was her stepping stone in the entertainment industry.
