On November 25, Kapuso actress Bianca Umali said she wanted to take on a warrior woman role in her next project.
During the media conference for her contract renewal with GMA Network, Umali described her team and the Kapuso Network as collaborative on the type of projects she wants to explore.
“Yes, I’m very open. Me and my team and the whole network po, kapag napag-uusapan po namin ‘yung gusto ko pang gawin, very open naman po kami, and sila sa collaboration with me.
She also noted that GMA Network actively gives her roles and projects that she wants without asking for them.
Recently, GMA Network Senior Writer Suzette Doctolero expressed her interest in having Umali star in one of the stories she plans to pitch. The said project is all about warrior women with the title, Pulajan.
As for Umali, she started her career in showbiz in 2009 in the TV series Tropang Potchi. From then, she worked on various projects under the Kapuso Network. She then starred as the adult version of Lawiswis in Mulawin Vs. Ravena in 2017. After that, she starred in the cultural dramas Sahaya and Legal Wives. Additionally, she stars in the upcoming third season of the international HBO Asia series, Halfworlds.
