In a virtual press conference on December 13, Kapuso star Benjamin Alves described his journey of nine years on the GMA Network as a “dream come true.”
According to him, nothing has changed since he started until now that he has been in the industry for a long time.
“It still is, every day. When I get on set, it’s the same feeling I have the first time I went on set as a Kapuso. It’s the same feeling I had when I was young, who wanted to be in front of a camera and play a part.
“I don’t think it will go away. That’s the reason why I’m still here; that’s the reason why I love it (acting),” Alves added.
Alves’ recent contract renewal with GMA is proof that his career has been going well and that he is in a good position.
The University of Guam graduate expressed his gratitude towards the network. According to him, the GMA network served as his home for nine years.
“I feel very honored sa nine years and many more hopefully to come. I’m glad that I can call GMA my home. I’m glad that my heart can say that GMA is still my home. I hope that many more years will come from this contract,” said Alves.
Benjamin’s journey in the showbiz industry has not been easy for him; that’s why he values it by trying “to make sure that I’m staying here as long as I can.”
In his contract renewal, the actor said that Kapuso viewers have a lot more to look forward to from him.
He promised to “give something different… surprise them (the people behind his career) and surprise also the viewers.”
Several projects await him when he finishes “Artikulo 247,” a crime drama series about a woman who fights for justice.
Artikulo 247 will air in January 2022.
“We just finished the first leg of (it). We’ll be airing in the first quarter of 2022—Maganda ‘yung atake.
“I think I’m still in line for a movie, but I can’t just tell (the actors that) I will be working with. Hopefully, that comes into fruition in 2022. I think there (are) two films in the works,” shared Alves.
