On December 6, seasoned comedian Janno Gibbs compared his trio with Andrew E, Dennis Padilla to Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.
During the media conference for Sanggano, Sanggago’t, Sanggwapo 2: Aussie, Aussie, O Sige, Gibbs said they are this generation’s Tito, Vic, and Joey.
“Lahat ng generation, every generation, mayroong mga bago, at mayroon lagi na senior na comedians or senior actors. I think for this generation kami na ‘yung mga kumbaga dati sila Tito, Vic, and Joey, lagi may pelikula, I think for this generation kami naman ‘yun. Every year laging may pelikula together.”
He then shared how their fandom still prevails throughout their years in showbiz.
“Wala naman sigurong secret, ganon pa rin naman ginagawa namin. We still do the same comedy. Siguro ang secret na lang kapag kaming tatlo ang magkakasama, bigayan kami we’re not selfish with the lines. Kapag mayroon akong naisip na bagay kay Dennis, sasabihin ko sa kanya. Kapag si Andrew naman, may naisip na, ‘oy Janno sayo bagay ‘tong linyang ‘to.’ Ganon kami magbigayan.”
Andrew E then shared their secret behind the trio’s comedic success.
“Ang secret namin talaga ay–wala kaming secret, ‘yun ang secret namin. Kumbaga we deliver our comedy they way it’s supposed to be delivered. Which is mapamahal ‘yun sa mga tao.
“Kung comedy lang ang dinedeliver mo and you don’t profess love for your fans, or your supporters at tsaka ‘yung mga tumatangkilik, kapag hindi nila naramdaman ‘yung love mo, ‘yung pagmamahal mo sa kanila. They will not, from that point to the next point, love you back.”
