On December 26, actress-philanthropist Angel Locsin had exchanged words with a troll who claimed that she was a member of the communist organization New People’s Army (NPA).
The conversation was found in Kris Aquino’s latest Instagram post, wherein netizens have received criticism after helping Typhoon Odette victims.

Locsin defended Aquino and caught the attention of a certain Russ Chugs, who is obviously a troll. The hater accused them of being pro-NPAs, citing what Lieutenant General Antonio Parlade claimed in 2020: that she was part of celebrities and personalities who were in cahoots of the terrorist group.
The actress who is tired of being red-tagged then clapped back at the troll by retaliating, “Pinagsasabi mong korte? Huy, magbabagong taon na salot ka pa rin? Sila nga nag-sorry sa’kin pero ikaw pinipilit pa rin? Mataas ka pa sa mga heneral?”
The troll, denying any knowledge about Parlade’s apology to Locsin, did not let up as he was “sure” that she was a member of NPA.
“[Talaga?] Sinong heneral ang nag-sorry sa’yo? Nag-sorry does not justify that you are not… please I’m begging [you] renounce NPA or else talagang ka-grupo ka talaga nila… just renounce them.”
In November 2020, Parlade clarified that Locsin was not an NPA but stressed that her sister, Angela ‘Ella’ Colmenares.
Then on November 17 that same year, Locsin and Parlade had a meeting to clarify all the issues between them. It was also found out that the latter appreciated the former’s contribution to society.
“For his part, Lt. General Parlade conveyed to Ms. Locsin his appreciation for her contribution to the AFP and her continuing advocacy to help the poor, the impoverished, and the helpless,” said Locsin’s lawyer, Joji Alonso.
Locsin and Aquino joined forces in helping the victims of Odette. The two had personally gone to the affected areas and conducted relief operations.
