Kapuso star Alden Richards aims to reach new heights with his showbiz career as he mentioned his dream of doing an international project.
The actor has been in the showbiz industry for about 11 years now. He recently renewed his contract with the GMA Network on October 15.
In celebration of his 11th anniversary on December 2021, Richards held a Facebook live where he briefly talked about his plans to be in an international project.
“’Yung international project, isa ‘yun talaga sa gusto kong ma-achieve siguro. Hopefully next year, I don’t know, within the year? Who knows. Si Lord lang ang may alam kung kailan pero I’m really doing the best I can para kahit papaano magkaroon tayo niyan sa portfolio natin. Isa ‘yan sa mga focus ko at the moment,” he said.
“I’ve been in the industry for 10 years ang sarap din naman maka experience ng something international. Something that we can tell the world [that] the Filipino people has talent din when it comes to the craft of acting,” he added.
Richards is not the only artist who wants to go international for his career. Other artists like Lovi Poe, Inigo Pascual, and Bianca Umali have already stepped on the international stage.
Poe landed a role in the Hollywood film The Chelsea Cowboy, Umali bagged a lead role for the HBO Asia series Halfworlds Season 3, while Pascual is set to star in the American musical drama Monarch.
Alden Richards is gearing up for his documentary concert “Forward.” It will be directed by Frank Lloyd Mamaril that is set to air on January 30, 2022, at 8:00 pm.
