The future of Jennylyn Mercado and Xian Lim’s Love. Die. Repeat remains unclear with the former’s announcement of pregnancy—putting the project on hold.
On October 29, Mercado announced her nine-week pregnancy after Dennis Trillo’s marriage proposal for her.
Via a facebook post, Mercado shared how grateful she is to her GMA family for permitting her to finish Love, Die, Repeat next year, given her condition.
“Maraming salamat sa aking GMA family for understanding my condition and allowing me to still finish ‘Love, Die, Repeat’ next year once I am ready to work again.
“Sobrang thankful ako at tuloy pa rin ang show. I love my GMA family, from the moment I started as an actress na-feel ko na hindi lang ako artista sa network, kung ‘di parte ng pamilya nila. Madami akong pinagdaanan at kung wala ang GMA hindi ko alam kung malalagpasan ko eto.”
Mercado shared that the project will not be canceled, but will be just put on hold until next year when she finishes her maternity leave.
“I am blessed to be a Kapuso.” She added.
Mercado and Lim have already started taping for the show in September 2021.
GMA Network has plans on releasing Love. Die. Repeat on TV in the first quarter of 2022, but huge adjustments will be made following Mercado’s pregnancy announcement.
In October 2021, Mercado’s agency stated after news broke out that the actress had a medical emergency during the taping.
