Vice President Leni Robredo’s latest TikTok video had netizens arguing on Thursday, November 25.
In the clip, Robredo was seen making her impression of animé moves that haters are now using.
A troll even concluded that the VP was into drugs and asked if she had taken a drug test.
Nagpadrugtest na ba? 😑 pic.twitter.com/dKqdql3PEC

Another said that it was the “cringiest” thing she had seen and was confused why the Vice President would agree to do such a video.
Leni Robredo doing the Dragon Ball Kamehameha Wave was the cringiest shit I've ever seen. I support her for presidency but WHY?! why would you do this? it's a meme now so I guess it worked(?)

A supporter of Robredo expressed his sentiment, saying that the VP is acting more like Mar Roxas.
I hate it cause it's like Mar Roxas 2.0. Naga-struggle tayo for authenticity but we're making her less authentic. HBUDFOGf

Another Robredo supporter blamed her PR team for giving her bashers material to be used for making memes.

A Netizen also reiterated that the PR team was to blame for Robredo being a meme on the internet. Again, Roxas was brought up as he felt that the VP’s camp was trying to copy him.

The video was actually turned into a meme as other TikTok users created their own version of Robredo’s Kamehamahe/Hadouken video.

Meanwhile, those behind the clip aired their side. Apparently, Robredo agreed to make the video to bring “good vibes” to the video-sharing platform.
Skl.

Others also defended the video, such as TV personality Justin Dizon who perceived it as a successful PR stunt considering that it already went viral.
Nag-viral nga siya and it’s actually a good thing! Hindi one size fits all ang PR! https://t.co/eEQQnG7zTu

Hannah Barrantes, one of the video makers, shared that some netizens were requesting another video of Robredo, this time using the popular animé Voltes V as reference.
Wow dami bigla nagmemessage samin after kami bugbugin ng insulto kahapon na baka daw pwedeng gundam/voltes V content naman kasama ang OG senatorial slate ni VP.
TEKA LANG AH ISA ISA LANG KAYO. HAHAHA DAMI NIYONG PAGAWAAAAAA HAHAHA!

A Netizen clapped back at the haters as she pointed that the VP was the “only one who gave” Filipinos something to look forward to in the next election.
Sige, say whatever you want to say about the #LeniRobredo memes but one thing is for sure, she's the only one who gave us something to look forward to next year! #LabanLeni #LetLeniLead2022 https://t.co/RuT2Sio6V6 pic.twitter.com/LrmT1csZtr

Another netizen also pointed that the video does not affect Robredo’s capabilities to lead the nation.

A Netizen pointed out that the Hadouken video would have a similar result to the lugaw (rice porridge) issue when used against Robredo to undermine her capacity as a leader.

Robredo also made rounds on the internet as she confused netizens with her Pinkachu joke, earning her criticism.
The incumbent Vice President is gunning to be the next Philippine President in the upcoming 2022 elections and is up against senators Manny Pacquiao and Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, and former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
