Vice Ganda revealed that former director Bobet Vidanes once created a group chat for the It’s Showtime hosts without Karylle.
As Vice Ganda returned to It’s Showtime from a vacation in America, he had another controversial revelation about their former director.
On the November 8 episode of the noontime show during the Madlang Pi-POLL segment, Vice Ganda, Ogie Diaz, and the contestants talked about the most painful experiences of basketball players.
DJ Onse believes that being removed from the team is the most painful, Vice Ganda then agreed to his statement adding that even being removed from a chat group is already painful.
“Kahit sa chat group lang nga eh, diba yung biglang tinanggal ka, ‘removed from the group’, ay bakit ako naremove?”
Because of the topic, the comedian-host revisited something in the past.
“Yung may chat group kayo tapos may iba pa palang group na lahat sila andun, ikaw lang ang wala.”
Other hosts reacted, then Vice Ganda added, “Aminin nyo ginawa natin yan kay Karylle dati.”
Teddy Corpuz then asked, “Sino leader non, sino admin non?”
Without hesitation, Vice Ganda revealed that it was Bobet Vidanes, the It’s Showtime director at the time, who created the group chat, causing the hosts to be shocked over his revelation.
Vidanes directed It’s Showtime from 2009 until 2020. Last year, Vidanes resigned as the director of the noontime show, leaving the hosts clueless about the reason.
Since then, he has received indirect blows from his former artists because of his unacceptable decision to leave the Network during its lowest times.
Almost a year after his resignation, Vidanes finally broke his silence about the real reason behind it.
During his birthday speech in Laugh Out Loud on October 11, Vidanes said that he asked permission from ABS-CBN management regarding his shift and the Network vowed to explain his reason to his artists.
According to Vidanes, his network transfer was not motivated by money but because he prioritized his health.
However, this explanation from Vidanes did not receive any reaction from the other side.
