On November 19, actress Valerie Concepcion told Angel Locsin, not to mind trolls.
On an Instagram post from ABS-CBN News about sex-trafficking charges against Pastor Apollo Quiloboy, Locsin commented on the art card, expressing her concern to those who spoke about the allegations against the pastor.
“Minor = Rape. Sana Maprotektahan agad yung mga naglakas loob na magsalita.”
A netizen commented on the post, accusing Locsin of leaving GMA Network’s set to meet up with her previous boyfriend.
“@therealangellocsin Ay wow. Malinis ka? E diba ikaw yung tumatakas sa taping dati sa GMA para makipagkita sa dyowa mo at makipagdyugdyugan? Tanong pa natin si Valerie Concepcion.”
Locsin then responded that the netizen shouldn’t make up rumors to cover up an issue. She then tagged Concepcion.
“@kjmarky81 huy wag kang mag imbento ng issue para may pagtakpan. Tag ko pa si @v_concepcion o 🙂 hindi ko ikamamatay yang chismis mo magdasal ka.”
Concepcion commented on Locsin’s response to the basher, noting that the netizen was an obvious troll.
“Naku mare @therealangellocsin. Obvious na troll lang yang @kjmarky81 na yan. Wag mo na lang pansinin. Ang layo sa issue ng comment eh.. Mema lang.”

On November 18, American prosecutors Quiloboy with sex trafficking. According to reports, coerced women with ages 12 to 25 to have sex with him during a so-called ‘night duty.’
A dark side of social media’s ability to promote free speech is that it provides a platform for unfactual opinions and baseless rumors from netizens who aims to shift the narrative in their favor.
