The year’s Kapuso Christmas station ID does not fall short of heartwarming encouragement to love one another this Christmas.
GMA Network has nothing but a special tribute to Filipinos who held the line and became each other’s love and hope during one of humanity’s greatest battles in recent history. Like the previous years’ station ID, the undying Filipino spirit and solidarity are at the core of ‘Love Together, Hope Together’. The theme does not differ largely from the past station IDs, but the presence of new faces who joined the network this year is a surprising delight.
Award-winning Kapuso journalist, Jessica Soho, Kapuso royalties, Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Heart Evangelista, and Alden Richards grace the opening frames, which signifies their stature as being GMA Network’s most prized personalities. Box-office Queen, Bea Alonzo, takes her regal status here, as reflected by her very remarkable exposure in her first appearance on a Kapuso station ID as an exclusive GMA Network talent.
New faces like Richard Yap, Albert Martinez, Pokwang, Kim Atienza, Kokoy de Santos, and Beauty Gonzales all make their debut appearances via ‘Love Together, Hope Together’ which also invites Kapuso viewers to remain optimistic amid the drastic adjustments we need to pull off because of the still prevailing pandemic. It gives a special highlight to the miracles of Jesus and the hope that His birth represents to all of us.
This year’s Christmas station ID affirms the beautiful promises of this miraculous season. It makes a solid testament to our capacity to give kindness and happiness to each other and to make this sacred celebration colorful and meaningful. That said, the absence of some of the big Kapuso stars like Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado and the newly-signed Kapuso talents, Xian Lim and John Lloyd Cruz, will definitely be many Kapuso fans baffled.
This year’s music video showcases the big Kapuso programs underway, including Voltes V and Lolong. Flagship programs, 24 Oras, Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho, sitcoms Bubble Gang, and Pepito Manaloto, talent and variety programs, The Clash, All-Out-Sundays, and Eat Bulaga, are also given ample time to shine with their respective hosts and cast members. Kapuso singers Julie Ann San Jose, Christian Bautista, Lani Misalucha, Maricris Garcia, Aicelle Santos, and The Clash alums, among others, lend their voices to sing parts of the official theme song.
As GMA Network expanded its reach across multiple platforms this year, Love Together, Hope Together showcases the ever-expanding Kapuso family. The regional station personalities are present on the music video and popular DZBB and Barangay LS anchors and DJs. It also highlights the efforts of the network’s charity arm, the Kapuso Foundation, in delivering goods and services to many Kapuso, in need, in many parts of the country.
Love Together, Hope Together affirms that while a lot has changed in the last two years, in how we celebrate and honor Christmas, there are still things that remain unfazed despite the drastic adjustments most of us needed to make. The meaning of the Holiday season remains the same, and its miracles remain our greatest hope in surviving tragedies and ordeals like this pandemic.
