The celebrity couple Rico Blanco and Maris Racal will star in an upcoming ABS-CBN project titled, The Goodbye Girl.
On Wednesday, October 15, during the story conference of the series, the show producer Dreamscape Entertainment confirmed the couple’s participation in the new Kapamilya project via an Instagram post.
Racal and Blanco will join Loisa Andalio, Barbie Imperial, Elisse Joson, JC De Vera, RK Bagatsing, Ronnie Alonte, Joshua Colet, and Angelica Panganiban.
Derick Cabrido will direct The Goodbye Girl and is in association with Cleverminds Inc.
Its scheduled release on iWantTFC is next year.
Blanco has been part of ABS-CBN hit series such as Imortal (2010) and May Isang Pangarap (2013).
In May 2021, Racal and Blanco confirmed that they are dating. The two are open regarding their passion for music and sweet relationship on their online social media platforms.
In an interview on August 12, Racal confessed that her age gap with Blanco scared her to open to the public about their budding relationship at first.
“Lagi po naming pinag-uusapan. Pero every time na ganoon ang topic natatakot ako, napi-pressure ako kasi natatakot ako sa kung ano ang iisipin ng mga tao. Kasi strange kasi ‘yung relationship namin because of the age gap. It’s like the big elephant in the room,” she said.
The two have been doing a lot of musical collaborations together. Blanco produced Racal’s songs–Not for Me, Kahit Na Anong Sablay, and the latest single, Ate Sandali, under Balcony Entertainment.
