Director Bobet Vidanes made the rounds online after he called Billy Crawford and Kim Atienza his true friends.
Netizens claimed that the director is making an indirect hit to his former It’s Showtime family.
In an Instagram post on November 5, the director shared a photo with Billy and Kuya Kim with the caption, “We are together.. forever, Good friends! TRUE friends! Good to be with you guys.”
In the post, Vidanes wrote the word “TRUE” in capital letters, which sparked speculations that the director indirectly called out Vice Ganda and other It’s Showtime hosts.

Both Billy and Kuya Kim are former hosts of It’s Showtime while Bobet Vidanes was the former director of the noontime show.
There is a brewing conflict between Vice Ganda and Billy Crawford after the hosts unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Direk Bobet is currently the director of TV5’s Lunch Out Loud (LOL) where Billy is one of the hosts.
A conflict between Direk Bobet and the It’s Showtime hosts is also speculated.
During the director’s birthday episode on LOL in October 2021, he admitted that he left It’s Showtime because he did not feel like the one in charge.
In November 2020, It’s Showtime hosts gave an indirect blow to Direk Bobet regarding his loyalty to the show.
In February 2021, Vice Ganda then revealed that he got offended when Direk Bobet left It’s Showtime after 11 years.
“Nakakagulat lang, parang after 11 years… doon lang pala iyon. Parang kung… kung meron man tayong bahagi doon sa dahilan niya para umalis.
“Kung ano man yung dahilan niya, sana napag-usapan. At saka kung talagang family tayo, baka… kung napag-usapan, baka nagawan ng paraan,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kim Atienza just recently transferred to the GMA Network on October 1.
In an interview with the weather anchor, he admitted that both Billy Crawford and Bobet Vidanes encouraged him to accept the offer from the Kapuso network.
