In an Instagram post on November 5, Friday, Lolit Solis weighed in between Kapuso stars Bea Alonzo and Marian Rivera, if who’s more beautiful.
The veteran entertainment columnist shared that she would always choose Rivera over Alonzo.
Sharing a photo of Rivera, Solis explained why she has her vote for the Dingdong Dantes’s wife.
Solis explained, “Ewan ko kung biased lang ako, or baka iba ang standard of beauty ko, Salve. Pero lahat ng nagtanong sa akin kung kanino ako mas nagagandahan between Marian Rivera at Bea Alonzo, lagi ang pinipili ko si Marian Rivera.”
Solis admitted that she admires Rivera’s sweet and sincere smile adding that she always look great even without makeup.
“Kasi nga I find Marian more beautiful lalo na pag naka-smile, parang sincere na sincere at sweet na sweet ang ngiti niya. Saka lagi ko siya nakikita na wala pang make up, nakatali lang ang buhok, at iyon pa rin, beautiful pa rin siya.
“Saka para siyang si Lorna Tolentino noong bata pa, na puwede heavy at light make up, sweet look o sophisticated, very dramatic face nila. Saka si Marian parang hindi tabain, kasi dalawa na ang anak pero hayun pa rin ang katawan, perfect shape pa rin.”she reasoned.
“Well, puwede sa iba ang choice nila si Bea Alonzo, pero ako kay Marian Rivera. Classic ang beauty niya, at lalo nang mawala ang defense mechanism niya dati na parang meron siyang wall sa ibang tao, mas lalo siyang gumanda. Iyon soft glow ng personality niya lumabas. Saka mas nadama mo iyon pagiging natural niya. Malaki talaga ang nagawa ng inner peace at happiness kay Marian, mas lalo siyang gumanda.”

Solis believed that Alonzo will have a hard time snatching the crown from Rivera.
She stated, “Kaya duda ako sa sinasabi nila na maagaw ni Bea Alonzo ang korona kay Marian Rivera. Mahihirapan kahit sino na kunin ang puwesto niya. May matatag siyang hari, si Dingdong Dantes, tapos meron ng prinsesa si Zia, prinsipe si Ziggy, kumpleto. Paano maagaw iyan? Mahirap di bah? Uwian na, may nanalo na, hah hah hah. Wala ng laban!!”
Rivera rose to fame after starring in GMA Network’s adaptation of the popular Mexican series MariMar. The success of the series opened big opportunities for her including several product endorsements and films. She is also best known for her roles in MariMar, Dyesebel, Amaya, Darna, and Temptation of Wife.
The actress was then hailed as the Primetime Queen for her acting skills and successful series.
On the other hand, Alonzo started her acting career in ABS-CBN. She first gained recognition for the 2002 teleserye Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay. She is best known for her portrayals in the films One More Chance, The Mistress, Four Sisters and a Wedding, and Eerie.
In mid-2008, it was announced that she would play the leading character Betty Pengson in the TV sitcom Yo Soy Betty La Fea, which originated from Colombia. The show ran for eight consecutive months. Throughout her career, Alonzo is considered Star Magic’s jewel and one of the most bankable stars in the country.
On July 1, 2021, GMA News announced that she transferred to GMA Network after almost 19 years under ABS-CBN.
During her guesting on All-Out Sundays on Sunday, October 3, Alonzo shared with everyone her newfound friendship with Rivera.
