Kapuso broadcast journalist Kim Atienza gave his opinion about a journalist who ridiculed his Halloween segment on 24 Oras, Friday, October 29.
In a now-deleted tweet from Rappler’s JC Punongbayan, he questioned the show’s episode and even compared it to ABS-CBN, where Atienza was formerly affiliated.
“So may horror segment sa 24 Oras si Kuya Kim in tandem with Ed Caluag in time for Halloween. Sa ABS ba may pseudoscience sh*t din ba si Kuya Kim? What would Ernie Baron say? #KuyaKimAnoNa???” wrote Punongbayan.
Before the tweet got deleted, netizens captured it and shared it with Atienza, who did not believe it at first.

Kuya Kim, despite the scathing tweet, did not add “fuel to the fire.” He pointed that Punongbayan is entitled to his opinion.

But Atienza defended the news and current affairs program showing a clip where 24 Oras conducts trivia contests. It is far from pseudoscience, which refers to beliefs or practices mistakenly regarded as based on the scientific method.

A netizen also implied that Atienza’s segment is magazine style. It means it includes ghosts and urban legends.
It received a response from the Atienza and thanked her for getting the gist.
