2018 Tawag ng Tanghalan Grand Champion Janine Berdin felt that it is an honor to be one of ABS-CBN’s talents, Monday, November 15, after being asked to share her thoughts about the Kapamilya Network grooming her career.
“S’yempre po huge honor na binigyan po ako ng ganitong chance kasi sobrang dami pong singers and sobrang dami na mga nagdi-dream na makuha ang spot na ito. So sobrang laking blessing po siya,” she said during the media conference of her latest single, Pagod Na Ako.
The 19-year old singer even shared she did not realize she would eventually become a member of ASAP‘s New Gen DIVAS.
“Hindi ko inakala na magiging birit diva po ako kasi hindi talaga ako bumibirit dati. Yung tingin ng mga tao sa akin parang, ‘Ha?! Totoo ba?!’ ganoon. So parang ako din po noong una, grabe hindi ko ma-imagine.”
She thanked the people who supported her, including her co-members Elha Nympha, Sheena Belarmino, and Zephanie.
“Pero thanks to the people who believed in me, mga kasama ko sa New Gen, supportive naman. Sobrang grateful naman po ako.”
Meanwhile, Berdin also revealed her dream performance: to sing her songs on the ASAP stage.
“‘Yung dream ASAP performance ko is sana makanta ko ang mga songs ko one day on the ASAP stage of course,” wished the singer.
Pagod Na Ako is Berdin’s latest self-penned song, arranged and produced by former “The Voice Kids” alumnus Juan Karlos Labajo.
The song is out now on various digital music platforms.
