Following Claudine Barretto’s post about the deceased actor’s love letter, Cristy Fermin recollected actor Rico Yan’s death.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Barretto shared Rico Yan’s love letter to her, which dated September 17, 1998. She then deleted the post after netizens doubted its authenticity.
In Cristy Fermin’s YouTube show on November 18, she briefly talked about Rico Yan’s death and his alleged love letter to Barretto.
“May nagbalik alaala.
Netizens believe that Cristy Fermin addressed the love letter issue so that Baretto could no longer use Yan for fame.
Barretto and Yan’s loveteam was among the most popular in the late ’90s and 2000s.
The two started dating each other when they worked together in Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita (1998).
It was on March 4, 1998, when the two officially confirmed their relationship. On their fourth anniversary, March 4, 2002, the couple called it quits.
