On November 18, Claudia Barretto, Jona Soquite, and Lyca Gairanod shared their thoughts on being part of ARRIVAL: The Next Chapter of OPM.
During the media conference for the event, Claudia said feels honored to be a part of the concert event.
“I’m very honored to be a part of this concert because it’s been a while since I’ve been able to perform. And it’s awesome to come together this way because it shows even though given the circumstances. We have been able to adapt. Everyone has been able to showcase their artistry through other avenues, so thank you to Viva for putting this together for artists like me and everyone else here.”
As for Jona, she expressed her happiness in joining the artists performing in the concert.
“Almost two years po tayong hindi nakapag-conduct ng ganitong event so happy po ako na may kasama ako na magagaling and new experience po siya para sa akin.”
Lyca expressed her gratitude to Viva for mounting the concert event, noting that she missed performing in events.
“Sobrang thankful po ako kasi nakakasama ko ‘yung even mga other artists po. Parang sa akin po sobrang namimiss ko rin po na mag-concert na kasama sila. Kasi minsan kapag nagko-concert po ikaw lang talaga minsan. Ako po natuwa po ako na nakasama ko po ‘yung mga, like napapakinggan ko lang nakakasama ko na sila. Kasi ako po syempre namimiss ko din po ‘yung mga kasama kong artists.”
Claudia then shared details about her preparations for their upcoming concert.
“Actually, I did a lot of rehearsing because it’s been a while since I last performed live. On top of that, it’s also my first hosting gig. So, that was another surprise, and that was something that I was really looking forward to doing because I [never] had the opportunity to host yet.”
Jona teased about their upcoming collaborations in the Arrival concert.
“‘Yung sa collab po, yung kinanta naming songs, hindi ‘yun ‘yung like genre talaga namin, pero ginawan namin siya ng paraan para mag-iba ‘yung flavor niya. Pero nandoon pa rin ‘yung puso at tsaka kwento ng kanta.”
Lyca highlighted the exciting performances for the upcoming concert, which includes her latest single.
“Iba-iba po siguro ‘yung excitement na mararamdaman ng mga tao. Na kahit hindi man po kami nakikita na live na kumakanta, pero iba po ‘yung ipaparamdam po namin sa kanila. And then the collabs, talagang aabangan po nila ‘yun ng sobra.
“And then kinanta ko ‘yung second single ko po. Ito po ‘yung first time na kinanta ko siya ng live. Mas nag-enjoy po ako dito and mas magiging excited po silang lahat.”
‘ARRIVAL: The Next Chapter of OPM’ includes Pinoy artists such as ALAMAT, Because, LITZ, Lyca Gairanod, Magnus Haven, Claudia Barretto, DENY, Jehramae Trangia, Jona Soquite, and Cean Jr.
