Viral Scandal stars Charlie Dizon and Joshua Garcia were flattered on Thursday, November 11, after being compared to big stars like John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo.
In the show’s media conference, the two took turns sharing their reaction after people were getting a John Lloyd-Bea vibe in them.
Dizon liked the idea of being the next Bea, but she noted that she wanted people to recognize them as themselves.
Garcia, on the other hand, considered it as a case of deja vu but said he is content being considered as good as Cruz.
The actor was also open to the idea of working with Dizon in movies and said, “Why not ‘di ba?”
Viral Scandal is about a family whose lives turned upside-down when their eldest daughter Rica (Dizon) got involved in a scandalous video that went viral.
The show is heavy drama but Garcia also expressed his desire to do a romantic-comedy show with Dizon.
“Sana makagawa kami ng rom-com ‘di ba?” Garcia hoped.
The actor noted that he misses playing comedic characters where he has much freedom compared to playing dramatic roles.
Dizon also liked the idea as she responded, “Oo nga, rom-com naman. Sana nga po.”
Viral Scandal is directed by Dado C. Lumibao and Froy Allan Leonardo and also stars Dimples Romana and Jake Cuenca.
The show will air starting November 15 as part of ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida lineup.
