Rita Daniela and Ken Chan surely need to bring their free TV charm to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2021 as their movie Huling Ulan sa Tag-Araw made it to the Magic 8!
Directed by Louie Ignacio, is one of the eight official entries of the said film festival. It is produced by Heaven’s Best Entertainment.
In a recent interview on 24 Oras, Daniela shared how they reacted after the announcement of their movie being in the final cut for this year’s MMFF.
“Sobrang nagsisigaw kami doon sa loob ng studio talaga ng GMA, kasi siyempre ang sarap sa feeling at nakikita namin ‘yung pangalan namin dalawa ni Ken nandun sa malaking screen. Tapos lalo pa Kuya [Lhar] nung nakita namin ‘yung lineup – The Magic Eight na tinatawag nila,” she recalled.
Daniela explained that the moviegoers need to watch out for why Chan’s character in the film constantly changes the wig he is wearing.
“Ang daming nagtatanong kung bakit iba-iba ‘yung wig ni Rita dito, ‘yung buhok niya may mga eksena na color pink, minsan color violet, minsan white, minsan yellow. So, ‘yun ang abangan n’yo,” she added.
Daniela and Chan dominated free TV with their iconic roles as Boyet and Aubrey in the hit Kapuso series My Special Tatay (2018). The two were the lead stars in the Kapuso romance comedy series One of the Baes (2019) and the recently concluded series Ang Dalawang Ikaw (2021).
