Barbie Forteza and David Licauco are rumored to play the lead roles of the TV adaptation of ‘Mano Po.’
On November 11, head creatives of the show have conducted a virtual meeting to polish the lock-in taping details for the upcoming TV show.
GMA-7 Executives and Regal Entertainment, Inc. have yet to disclose an official announcement regarding the new project.
The lock-in taping for the project will begin on November 15, but the schedule is still subject to modifications because of many factors the production team needs to consider.
Directed by Ian Loreños, ‘Mano Po: The Series’ will be aired on primetime slot of the Kapuso Network.
The TV version ‘Mano Po’ ‘s rumored cast includes Kapuso stars such as Boots Anson Roa Rodrigo, Maricel Laxa, Sunshine Cruz, Victor Basa, Rob Gomez, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco.
‘Mano Po: The Series’ is a collaboration between Regal Entertainment Inc. and GMA Network Inc. The two have initially worked together and produced the successful Sunday afternoon drama anthology ‘Regal Studio Presents.’
In 2016, Licauco inked a contract with GMA Artist Center. A year after, he got the title of Kapuso Network’s ‘Chinito Heartthrob’.
In April 2021, Licauco played his first leading role with Asia’s Pop Diva Julie Anne San Jose in their project titled ‘Heartful Café’.
Forteza’s career in showbiz started when she portrayed the role of young Jodi Reyes on the Philippine adaptation of ‘Stairway to Heaven’ (2009). Since then, she has been part of many TV shows and films on the GMA Network.
