Newest Kapuso artist Lyme Arana could not help but be emotional on Thursday, September 30.
Apparently, she was overwhelmed with emotions. GMA Network allowed her to be one of its new talents during its Signed for Stardom contract-signing event back on September 5.
Recalling her journey prior to being discovered as a singer by the Kapuso Network, Lyme shared that she was a contesera and rakitera, joining singing competitions and being a model around Cavite.
“Before ako mag-ano dito sa GMA, ako po ay nagmo-model around here in Cavite. Ako rin po ay sumasali sa mga singing contest here in Cavite lang din and then nag-vtr din po ako,” she started.
But when she was about to share who her biggest inspiration was, Lyme in a cracked voice, said, “My biggest motivation lang is my mom. Ini-inspire n’ya ako na mag-patuloy lang.”
The reason she was teary-eyed was because of the opportunity that GMA Network has given her.
“Sorry naiiyak lang po ako sa tuwa,” she apologized.
She then took the chance to thank the network for believing in her.
“I’m really grateful to GMA and GMA Artist Center for giving me the opportunity, for this. And I really hope na maipakita ko pa kung ano ang makakaya ko.”
Lyme was also joined in the virtual media conference by 19 other newly acquired artists such as Hannah Argueles, Kirsten Gonzales, Ashley Alcayde, Gab Yabut, Shanelle Agustin, Matt Lozano, Coleen Paz, Jeff Moses, Sheemee Buenaobra, Levince Sotto, Carlo San Juan, Gabrielle Hahn, Brianna Bunagan, Lala Vinzon, Sandro Muhlach, Alexandra Yap, Saviour Ramos, and Tanya Ramos.
