Marco Gallo and Marco Gumabao, the two male lead stars of TV5’s latest weekend series Di Na Muli shared on October 12 the qualities of their lead actress Julia Barretto that would make any person like her.
Gallo said that Barretto could be a lead example for other artists whenever they work with someone new.
The 20-year-old artist, Gallo, pointed that some stars tend to “make things awkward” or “put a wall” toward their new co-actor[s], which Barretto doesn’t.
“But with Julia, she really did put herself out there. Because we did have a couple of days before starting and everything.
“Even during the workshop, it was just nice getting to know her. I didn’t have a hard time getting it out of her. And I think that’s nice. I think that a lot of actresses should be that way, more comfortable, more chill.”
Gumabao, on the other hand, who has known the Barretto for years, revealed that she has the qualities of a true friend.
“What’s not to love naman ‘di ba kay Julia? First of all she’s nice—she’s a real friend, and pagiging honest n’ya, hindi s’ya natatakot kumbaga na to tell you what’s wrong and hindi rin s’ya natatakot kung for example may nagawa kang tama—she will congratulate you or she’ll say na ‘good job.”
He also added that Barretto is a very caring and thoughtful friend.
“So parang si Julia she’s very maalaga and very maaalahanin as a friend also. Aside from of course sa looks, yung ugali talaga ni Julia is isa sa mga highlight ng buong pagkatao nya.”
Meanwhile, in the same interview, Barretto admitted she was lucky to have both Gallo and Gumabao as her co-leads, feeling that the project was meant to be for the three of them.
“I’m so lucky to have done this project with the two of them. I think it was meant for the three of us to do this. We had so many questions from the beginning.
“But you know after the show, do’n namin napatunayan na may rason kung bakit kaming tatlo yung pinagsama para sa teleserye na ito and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Watch the three of them in Di Na Muli, every weekend, at 8 p.m., on TV5.
