On September 28, It’s ShowtimeΒ host Teddy Corpuz defended Vice Ganda and Ion Perez from bashers defaming the couple’s relationship.
Teddy retweeted a video of three netizens maligning the relationship of Vice and Ion. Two of them had a strong opinion about Ion’s intentions in his relationship with Vice.
Netizens identified the two as Wapa Pi Pap and Cy Ruiz Hernandez.

The two went into a litany of slander accusing Ion of using Vice for his money. Here is how their dialogue went down.
Wapa: Wala tayong pakialam kay Vice kasi si dilawan ‘yan.
Cy Ruiz: Halata naman sa kanya kasi Channel 2 siya eh.
Wapa: Channel 2 siya, nagtratrabaho siya sa Channel 2. O mahal siya ni Ion? Mahal siya ni Ion?
Cy Ruiz: Hindi ko alam.
Wapa: Hindi siya mahal, day! Si Ion taga Pampangga ‘yan. Si Ion sumasali sa mga bikini open, walang pera.Β
Cy Ruiz: Alam mo ‘yan si Vice Ganda, napakabias niyang tao. Hindi porket idol siya ng mga bakla. Maraming bakla sa Pilipinas,
Wapa: Si Ion talaga, bikini open lang yan, contestant. Nakilala lang ‘yan dahil sa It’s Showtime. May pera siya, bakla, ginagamit niya lang si Vice Ganda. O may pera si Ion? Wala, ginagamit lang niya si Vice. Si Ion talaga, namamakla talaga noon pa.
Corpuz responded to the two noting that they shouldn’t fabricate stories about other people if they experienced getting hurt before.
“Kung nasaktan ka dati at hindi mo pa nahahanap yung taong genuinely magpapasaya at magmamahal sayoβ¦ Di kailangan mag imbento ng istorya sa ibang tao at wag maging bitter. You only attract what you think you deserve! Know your worth and everything else will follow.”

Vice and Ion have been together for almost three years. They started their relationship in October 2018. Earlier, Ion responded to critics claiming that he would only hurt Vice. He wrote on his Instagram that he promised Vice’s mom about loving the comedian.
