Rico Blanco calmly responded to a fan who commented he is turning bisexual just because of the unusual clothing he wore.
On facebook, the former Rivermaya band member and singer-songwriter Blanco posted a photo of himself wearing a plain black t-shirt, baggy pants, and shoulder bag.
He captioned: “Nakalabas lang ng gate nagpa-pic[ture] na.”
“Sya nga pala, yung nakasabit sa balikat ko ay limited na artwork (at bag, duh) ng nag iisang Poklong Anading. Search nyo nalang po para sa karagdagang (brain emoji),” Blanco explained himself on the comment section.
One of his fans called out the outfit he was wearing and commented saying he was turning into a bisexual: “Idol parang nagiging silahis na pormahan mo ah!”
Blanco took the matters lightly and calmly responded to the mean comment.
“Lawakan natin isip natin bestfriend,” Blanco replied, implying that the fan should expand his thinking capability, especially in fashion.
Other fans quickly defended Blanco, saying that what he is wearing does not define his sexuality.
“Hindi naman pormahang silahis yan eh… dami kaya nagsusuot ng ganyan lalo na dito sa Korea. Mga pamangkin ko nga na lalaki ganyan pormahan,” someone pointed out.
“Sa Pilipinas lang lang may malaking diskriminasyon sa kasuotan kung ano ng suot ng iba dapat ganun ka di para hindi ka maging kakaiba o katatawanan. Pero sa ibang bansa sa napuntahan ko kahit ano isuot mo walang problema walang ganyang mentalidad, it’s a free country,” another shared that the country has a large portion that discriminates against those who go out against the standards of living compared.
