Veteran broadcast journalist Noli de Castro has formally announced that he will run again for senator in the upcoming 2022 elections in May.
On Thursday, October 7, when he finally said goodbye to his radio and television programs.
Back in 2001, Noli was elected as senator after leading the polls.
Meanwhile, in 2004, he became Vice President of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
In 2010, after his term, he decided to return to television.
12 years later, de Castro will try his luck in politics again by running for senator.
He stated in TeleRadyo program, “I’m sorry to say that this is my last day here at TeleRadyo for so many years, and we are grateful to those who have been with me here.”
Noli also had to leave ABS-CBN’s primetime news program TV Patrol.
Noli admitted that it was painful for him to say goodbye to the program he loved, but he is ready to face challenges in the field that he will pursue.
He noted that he is already grateful to the people who will support his candidacy as a senator in the 2022 elections, under Aksyon Demokratiko by presidentiable Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
