Established sexy actor Jay Manalo on October 14 explained why he accepted Viva’s offer to have him be part of its newest erotic film Mahjong Nights.
In the virtual media conference of the movie, Manalo revealed that when he received the offer from the bosses of Viva, his first project would definitely be a sexy one.
“‘Actually ‘yan ang unang sinabi sa akin na kung mag-start ako ng new movies sa Viva, medyo sexy.”
According to the actor, he has no problems doing another sexy film as long as it is not too much for him given that he’s already 48 years old.
“So sinabi ko naman na ‘wag lang yung katulad ng dati na medyo daring kasi nga I think I’m too old for that,” he added.
He also insisted that he had imposed limitations for himself whenever he would do a sexy project because of his age.
“Well, kung pup’wede naman kasi yung iba, wala na yung… p’wede na yung half naked, upper body na lang, yung mga ganoon na lang. Well sa gano’ng part yun ang nire-request ko,” he said.
However, he is open to the possibility of doing frontal nudity if a project he accepted demands it.
“Pero ‘pag nakapag-gym na ako, baka may maipagmalaki na akong katawan ko na ulit, baka pup’wede.
“Tignan natin kung saan aabutin, kung may darating pa tayong future na project, at kung sa ikakabuti ng movie, eh sa’kin naman eh… pero hangga’t maaari, kaya ko naman i-adjust ang sarili ko.
“Depende, kung ano yung hinihingi ng eksena. Pero dapat bago maibigay sa akin yung project, masabi na kaagad sa’kin yung mga dapat kong gawin,” pointed the actor.
If ever, Manalo said that he would allow doing such scenes to the younger sexy stars.
“Siguro ibigay na natin sa mga sumisibol ‘yan. Ibigay na natin ‘yang titulo na iyan.”
He also realized that whenever he makes erotic films, he tends to be partnered with young sexy actresses such as Angeli Khang in Mahjong Nights.
“Ako naman, even before kasi, mga nila-launch na new sexy stars, sa’kin naman talaga minsan pina-partner which is ‘di ko alam kung bakit. Pero kahit papaano eh nakakatulong.”
The actor then shared his reason to return to Viva. Manalo said that he considers the production company as his “home” so it is normal for him to return to his one true home.
“And also, yung pagbabalik ko sa Viva, napaka-ano nang pakiramdam kasi alam naman ng lahat na dito ako nag-start.
“Talagang ito ang aking bahay na gumawa man ako sa iba, nanirahan man ako sa ibang production, pero talagang ito ang tahanan ko ang Viva.
“Dito ako nag-start kaya dito ko rin tapusin kung ano man ang nakalimutan ko dati,” he pointed.
Mahjong Nights are under the direction of filmmaker Law Fajardo and will be available for streaming starting November 12 on Vivamax.
