Viva actor Marco Gumabao cannot help but get flustered during the virtual media conference of Di na Muli on October 12, when he was asked if he was super inspired this past few days.
“Lagi naman akong inspired,” he promptly replied.
But when he was asked if he was feeling extra inspired lately, Gumabao took a moment, smiled, and said, “Yeah… Yes I’m inspired.”
There was a video circulating online about Gumabao and actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi getting sweet in a KTV bar.
Many believed that the two are dating, including the press who were present in the mediacon.
Unbeknownst to everyone, the video was an old one since it was taken during the pre-pandemic days.
Gumabao’s co-star and long-time friend, Julia Barretto, defended the actor against the issue circulating over the Internet.
“I’m sure si Marco will talk about it when he’s ready to talk about it.
“I think everyone is still in shock and he’s still overwhelmed kasi si Marco is the type of guy na kapag private life niya, gusto niya private lang.”
As a friend for eight years, Barretto knows Gumabao more than the netizens and the media.
“I think I can tell when Marco really likes a girl. And I know when Marco is actually going to pursue a girl. I know that because I know how he behaves when he’s in love, I know how he starts acting when he’s in love.
“But I also know Marco when he’s unsure, I also know Marco when he’s nervous, I also know Marco when he’s afraid. So period. Hanggang do’n na lang muna.”
Aside from Barretto and Gumabao, Di Na Muli also stars another ‘Marco’ in the person of Marco Gallo. It is about love and moving forward in life without regrets as told through the eyes of a woman burdened with precognition of specific events in the future.
Catch it every weekend, at 8 p.m. on TV5.
