GMA Network recently released the recording video of its highly anticipated 2021 Christmas Station ID, which emphasizes love and hope as two of the most vital gifts humans can give to each other this holiday season.
The arrival of Love Together, Happy Together can’t be any timelier as most Filipinos are already seemingly tired of bearing the brunt of the pandemic. With its lively beats and inspiring words, the song for this year’s Christmas station ID has all the makings of a potential Christmas anthem.
The release of the recording/lyric video comes ahead of ABS-CBN and TV5.
Whose Christmas Station IDs are more likely to carry similar themes?
Just like its past station IDs, GMA Network capitalizes once again on its roster of talented musicians.
Julie Anne San Jose, who has led the Kapuso station IDs in the past years, is once again at the forefront of Love Together, Happy Together. She leads seasoned singers and newcomers in delivering the Kapuso Christmas jingle this year.
Like what its title says, the jingle highlights love and hope as two of the greatest things we hold on to this Christmas. It’s also the two things we look forward to, especially that the nation is at challenging moments.
Love Together, Hope Together is an earnest plead for Filipinos to remain resilient. To employ camaraderie and unity amid all the struggles the nation is facing.
It reminds us of our sanctuaries in times of dark circumstances and the key personalities who remain by our side even when it’s more convenient to stay away.
San Jose led several homegrown Kapuso singers like Aicelle Santos and Maricris Garcia, and newbies like Jessica Villarubin, Golden Cañedo, and Jeremiah Tiangco. Long-time Kapuso artists, Mark Bautista, Christian Bautista, and Rita Daniela, also lent their voices for the jingle. The Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha didn’t surprise when she owned her moment in singing the song.
It’s one powerful moment that gave an even stronger reinforcement to the already absorbing message of the song.
Like the previous GMA Station IDs–the lyric and recording videos come before the actual Christmas Station ID release. It is to showcase the Network’s brightest and biggest stars.
Also, it’s an opportunity for the Network to show its efforts throughout the entire year–to help Filipino affected by various natural calamities and disasters.
That said, the lyric video alone feels more than enough to let Kapuso viewers its gratitude for making the network soar during the pandemic. It’s also already a fitting tribute to the heroes of the pandemic and the moving stories we created and shared during these times when most Filipinos are going through moments of despair.
