Actor Alwyn Utingco thanked his wife Jennica Garcia on October 17 for confirming that they were trying to fix their marriage.
In a Facebook post, Uytingco admitted that he “does not” deserve his family with Garcia. However, he believes in second chances and will do everything to “retake” his family this time around.
“I have to admit, I don’t deserve my family. I don’t deserve a second chance. Please don’t get me wrong, I will do everything for another chance in this life. And I will fight the good fight to retake my family. Yet I realize that it’s impossible to achieve if I rely on my strength alone.”
Uytingco also thanked his wife for not giving up on him as they tried to rebuild their life as a married couple.
“Without God and His guidance, His grace… I am with no purpose. And without my wife’s boundless patience and love… I will be lifeless.
“Thank you, mahal, for not quitting on me. Thank you for letting me continue this life we started together. Thank you for giving me a wonderful gift of ‘second chance’, and one that I don’t deserve at all.
“Just because the past is painful doesn’t mean the future will be. I will always be your Habibi. Till death do us part. I love you.”
Will there be a reconciliation soon?
During the media conference for her upcoming Kapuso show, Las Hermanas, Garcia admitted that she and her husband are seeking the Lord’s guidance as they try to work on their marriage.
“Alwyn and I are working on our marriage. We are looking into the Lord for a breakthrough. So ayun po. Yun na lang muna.”
However, she has not delved into the topic further as she pointed that she is not in the “best mental state” as of this moment.
“Kinakabahan kasi ako ‘pag nakikita kami sa social media na napag-uusapan. As much as I would like to say that I don’t really care what other people say, I think in my entire life, ito yung moment sa buhay ko na I’m really not in my best mental state,” she added.
