Kapuso star Rocco Nacino said on Tuesday, September 21, that he cannot relate to infidelities because he was a ‘good person’.
“Well, I can’t relate kasi napakabait kong tao di ba? Wala akong kaalam-alam sa infidelity. Is that even a word? But I have no answer for that,” said the actor during GMA Network’s To Have and To Hold mediacon.
The newest show is about unfaithfulness in a marriage where the actor plays Gavin Ramirez, formerly given to Derek Ramsay, who backed out earlier in May.
Although the actor has no answer on infidelity, his approach to the character has been filled with maturity alongside the experience of married life.
Nacino recently tied the knot with Melissa Ghong through a military wedding on January 21.
If the show was given to him when he was still single, Nacino admitted he would have a different take and understanding of his character.
“If this was asked maybe five or ten years ago, definitely iba ang magiging atake n’yan kasi we were young, hindi pa namin napagdadaanan ito; and we would come up with something to breathe life into a character. Now, kung nasaan na kami sa buhay, mas naintindihan namin.
“Because of what we’ve been through, our past relationships, and life itself, mas madaling itahi-tahi ‘yan, maliliit na bagay na lang ang aayusin mo.
“Like myself, bilang ako ay isang newly-wed, comparing my character to Gavin who is a workaholic, matagal na silang magkasama, kaunti na lang ang inaayos namin do’n.
“But, whatever we have been through in our life has made things easier for us to understand our characters. But bilang isang aktor, mahirap pa rin ‘yan.”
To Have and To Hold is under the direction of Don Michael Perez, starring Carla Abellana, Max Collins, and Nacino himself. It will premiere on September 27 as part of GMA Network’s Telebabad lineup.
