On his YouTube vlog episode uploaded on Sunday, September 19, comedian and talent manager Ogie Diaz expressed his disapproval of Robin Padilla’s plan to run for the 2022 elections.
Diaz commented that it would be much better for him to cancel his plans of filing a candidacy for the next elections.
Anyway, Padilla’s good works for fellow Filipinos are highly appreciated even though he is not in any government position.
Knowing his personality, Diaz implied that he will still support Padilla whatever his decision is. Though, he cautioned the actor from running for positions higher than a senator.
Diaz said, “Robin, pag-isipan mong mabuti ‘tol. Ako naman ay naniniwala sa iyong pagkatao. Although, magkaiba yung ating political views.
Through facebook live on Thursday, September 16, Padilla asked netizens for help as he chooses between his film career or joining politics.
His facebook post was titled Pelikula o Pulitika.
“Alam n’yo mga kababayan, naguguluhan ako. Sobra akong naguguluhan ngayon.
He also revealed that he is torn between running for senator or joining the gubernatorial race in Camarines Norte in the 2022 elections. Padilla is also thinking of running for mayor in Jose Panginaban town in Camarines Norte.
If ever his venture in politics will not push through, the actor said he will continue his film career with the two projects offered to him, Bad Boy 3 and Mistah 2.
