Neil Arce challenged Mon Cualoping, Undersecretary & Director-General of the Presidential Communications Office-Philippine Information Agency, who insulted his wife Angel Locsin on social media.
On September 8, Locsin posted that the ‘world could work without politicians, businessmen, police, and actors but not without health workers.’
The actress simply expressed her realizations about the current COVID-19 crisis, but Mon Cualoping decided to bash her.
On a Facebook post on September 9, Cualoping noted that Locsin has ‘no brain cells.’
“Angel Locsin has no brain cells. Or a wrong appreciation of things.
“How can we all continue to live life if there’ll be no police force, actors, business folks, and yes, even politicians?” he said.
Cualoping even gave examples and explanations to prove his point. He noted that the people live in an ecosystem where every worker is needed in the community.
This did not sit well with Neil Arce, as he mentioned that insulting his wife was a wrong move. He then challenged the politician to a one-on-one fight.
“Hey, Mon I don’t know you, but people have been sending me this post.
“Mukhang sobrang tapang mo sa Facebook sir.
“I respect your political stand and your opinions but insulting my wife personally is a bit off.
“You can message me here on Facebook kung matapang ka talaga kita tayo no weapons no bodyguards lalake sa lalake lang kung di ka lalaki baka may kuya ka or kapatid na bata. Puwede na din proxy. Hope to see you soon,” Arce wrote in the comments.
Angel Locsin is known to be an accomplished actress as well as a philanthropist. She is dubbed a ‘real-life superhero‘ for her charity works and contribution to the community, especially amid the pandemic.
She is also a designer after she launched a bag collection with the local brand Avon.
Neil and Angel surprised everyone when they announced in their Youtube vlog on July 7 that they got married in a civil wedding ceremony that Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano officiated.
