On September 16, Lovi Poe expressed her gratitude to GMA Network amid her transfer to ABS-CBN.

During the media conference for her Kapamilya welcome, Poe thanked GMA Network while revealing her reason for transferring to ABS-CBN.

“I’m very, very much grateful. I’ve [been] really blessed to have worked with the best of the best of GMA. Best of the best creatives and best set of actors.

“And, I feel like it’s time to work with the best of the best of ABS-CBN. I’m just looking forward to working with amazing actors, [amazing] directors, everyone. And more importantly, making new friends, also here. That’s the [biggest] factor.”

She also admitted that her decision to transfer was not easy for her while recalling her 15 years with GMA Network.

“It wasn’t an easy decision. It was one of the [toughest] things I’ve ever had to do. Of course, I’ve been with GMA for 15 years.

“For 15 years, they’ve been good to me, and I’ve got nothing but good words and respect. There’s no other way than be grateful. So it was tough, but I’m here to celebrate my new home too, and my new family.

“I’m just really blessed that I have a lot of people, who [actually] believe in me. And in this whole room of amazing people, I’m just glad that they’ve welcomed me with open arms.”

She also said she will miss a lot from GMA Network, noting that she would always be grateful for the Kapuso team.

“I’m going to miss everything, of course. My routine, the people I’ve worked with, my friends. Everyone’s become a friend, not just my co-actors, but everyone, from my bosses, staff, crew, everybody.

“I will always be grateful to them because I wouldn’t be here without them. I will miss them [GMA Network], but these people have been so nice to me and have been so good to me that I believe that they are also happy for me.”

She also revealed that her friends from GMA Network already expressed their support for her career decision.

“They’re very supportive. Kasi ang friendship naman is beyond work. Ever since naman eh. Even for me, if someone else decides certain things, as a friend, I’ll always be supportive, so thankful ako.”

Lovi began her career as a Kapuso in 2006 with the teleserye Bakekang.

She then starred in various Kapuso series such as La Lola, Captain Barbel, Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real, Mulawin vs Ravena, and Beautiful Justice. And, her most recent teleserye is the romantic comedy series, Owe My Love.

Lovi signed her contract with ABS-CBN, marking her official transfer to the Kapamilya Network.

She has an upcoming teleserye with Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual.
