Breakups really are tough especially if the relationship lasted for years, knowing that all the memories created, the bond shared, were now gone, and have no idea how to start all over again.
In showbiz, it might be rare to find a couple that would last until the end. More than that, during this pandemic, the entertainment industry has seen a lot of heartaches recently.
Most of the recent splits were caused by third parties, and their fans were surely devastated and angered by the announcements.
Here are the four celebrities who recently had their hearts broken:
Bea Alonzo gets “ghosted” by Gerald Anderson.
Actress Bea Alonzo back in 2021 revealed in an interview with Boy Abunda that she was ghosted by then-boyfriend, actor Gerald Anderson.
The two had a second chance in 2016 and lasted for three years until Anderson was linked with his Between Maybes co-star Julia Baretto in 2019, leading to a controversial breakup with Alonzo.
Although Baretto and Anderson denied their relationship, the two revealed that they were indeed having a romantic relationship a year after the controversies surfaced.
Meanwhile, Alonzo moved on from Anderson. When she finally did, the actress is now happy with her current boyfriend, Dominic Roque.
Andrea Torres “splits” with Derek Ramsay.
In 2019, actress Andrea Torres and Derek Ramsay became an item after working on the Kapuso series, The Better Woman. The two were really sweet at each other, but not for long.
In 2020, they ended their relationship following Ramsay’s deletion of the actress’s photos in his Instagram account.
In November 2020, Torres issued a short statement confirming her split with the actor. Though they did part ways, both respected the breakup.
“Yes, Derek and I are no longer together. I’d rather keep the details private as I want to give the breakup the same amount of respect that I had for the relationship,” Torres explained.
Months after splitting with the hunk actor, Torres said she has already “moved on” from the heartache.
Kiko Estrada leaves Devon Seron.
Months after celebrating their second-year anniversary in August 2020, Devon and former beau Kiko Estrada was surrounded by a break-up rumor when the actress unfollowed the actor’s IG account as well as deleting anything related to him.
Allegedly, Estrada’s co-star Heaven Peralejo in the Kapamilya series Bagong Umaga was the reason why the two broke up. Though denying such a claim, on August 2021, the two confirmed they were dating.
Meanwhile, Seron was trying to move on from the split with Estrada, claiming that they ended up on “good terms.”
“Yes, I’m single. But in good terms naman kami. Okay na man kami. We’re trying to move on,” she said in an interview with Allan Dione in 2NYTwithAllanD (2WAD) back in April 2021.
“I realized na marami pang bagay na mas kailangan ng atensyon. Ngayon gusto ko lang mag-focus sa mga blessings na dumadating sa kin.
“Of course ito ring ‘Paano ang Pangako?’ kase umabot kame ng book 3. We’re very happy sa lahat ng mga viewers and supporters namin.”
Paolo Contis breaks LJ Reyes’s heart.
Most recently, actress LJ Reyes and her partner for six years, actor Paolo Contis, went on their separate ways following an alleged third-party issue.
She confirmed the breakup in an exclusive interview with Boy Abunda.
Reyes admitted in the interview that it was “painful” and “difficult” seeing their years-long relationship fail.
“Tito Boy, it was so difficult. It was so painful. Siguro kung hindi malakas ‘yung pananampalataya ko sa Panginoon, hindi ko alam kung saan ako pupulutin.
“Kung hindi matibay ‘yung pagmamahal ko sa mga anak ko para maging motivation siya sa akin to stand up and wake up every day, hindi ko alam kung saan ako pupulutin.
“Kung ano man ‘yung third party na sinasabi, it’s actually the least of my concerns. Kasi kapag ang anak n’yo na po ang nagagawan ng mali…somehow kailangan ko nang ilayo ang mga bata kasi kailangan kong maprotektahan sila,” she lamented.
Speculations about the other woman involved Contis’ co-star in the film A Faraway Land Yen Santos when videos of her comments on third-party relationships resurfaced.
In the meantime, Reyes flew to the States along with her children, including her daughter with Contis, to shield them from the situation.
“Na-realize ko na parang hindi p’wedeng ganito. May mga bata. Nagbaba po ako ng pride kahit alam kong ako po ‘yung nasasaktan.
“Titiisin ko po ‘yun para sa mga bata. Kasi inisip ko baka kailangan nila ng complete family. Tinanong ko s’ya: ‘If you want to take us back?’ Pero hindi na raw.”
These breakups were disheartening but these actresses are strong. They will eventually get back to their feet stronger than ever and leave such painful memory in the past.
