‘It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu considered the allegations of her being removed from the noontime show as fake news.
On the first week of September 2021, speculations spread that Chiu got sacked from her hosting stint on It’s Showtime after the Madlang Pipol (the viewers) noticed Chiu missing in action in her usual segments.
The actress addressed the rumors of her losing her hosting job when the topic came up during the Madlang Pi-Poll segment of the show.
Vice Ganda requested Chiu to share an experience where a piece of fake news got written about her.
“Tatanggalin daw ako dito [It’s Showtime]. Araw-araw kasi ‘yun, e. Ang sakit din sa ulo.” Chiu laughed while she responded to Vice Ganda.

“Ang dami namang naniniwala, inaaway naman ‘yung ‘Showtime’! Diyos ko, ito namang mga taong ‘to, o. Nakakaloka!” Vice shared his frustrations over the rampant fake news that are spreading online. The comedian stated that a lot of people easily believe what they are reading on the Internet without verifying them first.
After her unexpected non-visibility in the show, she finally resumed being one of the co-hosts of the Reina ng Tahanan and Madlang Pi-Poll segments.
She managed not to share any explanation of the reason for not being visible throughout the show during the earlier episodes.
Chiu became officially became part of the It’s Showtime family in the last quarter of 2020.
She became the main female host after Anne Curtis took a leave to focus on being a first-time mom.
