It is confirmed the upcoming sitcom of John Lloyd Cruz with the Kapuso Network will push through after rumors have spread that it will no longer be produced due to budget problems.
The production team has already settled the issues regarding the show’s budget. It was not disclosed if changes have been made in the talent fee of the artists involved or the production cost.
Also, it is already assured that Direk Bobot Mortiz will direct the said project.
However, it is still not finalized whether Andrea Torres will be the official partner of Cruz on the upcoming sitcom. But the latter has already expressed her excitement over the rumors of a possible partnership with Cruz on a new sitcom project.
Torres is still waiting for the GMA Network’s official announcement to confirm her participation in the project.
“Wala pa po kasi akong official na nakukuhang announcement talaga na from GMA regarding that po. Talagang narinig ko lang po sa mga kwento kwento ganyan… mga news.
“Feeling ko ang gandang experience po nun. Ang dami kong matututunan from him, at the same time opportunity rin na makita ng tao ang other side of me kasi kapag sitcom, medyo mas ano ka, mas makulit. Parang ‘di pa nila masyadong nakikita ‘yun sakin ‘yung side ko na ‘yun,” Torres stated.
GMA Network had ensured that Cruz had no other contractual obligations with the other TV networks before he made his TV comeback via the Kapuso network.
In the second quarter of 2021, Cruz has signed a contract with Willie Revillame’s WBR Entertainment Productions, Inc, where he was set to be in a sitcom along with Revillame and Torres.
