The Kapuso show Legal Wives started on its new timeslot, Monday, August 30, and apparently, it is doing better than before.
According to AGB Nielsen NUTAM People Ratings, Legal Wives became the second-most watched TV program, earning a rating of 14.3%.
Then on Tuesday, August 31, its rating rose to 14.7% and remained as the top 2 on the leaderboards of TV programs in the Philippines.
Legal Wives replaced The World Between Us in the 8:00 p.m. slot after it announced its season break that would span for two months.
Now that The World Between Us is out for a couple of months, Legal Wives is now up against ABS-CBN’s longest-running show FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Earlier last week, LH asked who would emerge victorious between the two shows, and it seemed that Legal Wives is the victor.
In all fairness, Suzette Doctolero’s teleserye really has a unique story compared to all other TV shows in the country. Although this involved three women competing for the love and affection of a single man, it also showcases Muslim culture and tradition, which is very rare on Philippine soaps.
Doctolero, on her Facebook post on September 2, had a reminder for Kapuso viewers who were concerned about the story of her show.
The screenwriter defended the plot of Legal Wives, stressing that the show is there to spread awareness about the way of life of other religions.
Moreover, it will not affect how Christians see things.
To better understand Doctolero’s point, watch Legal Wives every weekday, 8:00 p.m., only on GMA Network.
