Gary Valenciano said in an interview that ABS-CBN should not feel disappointed with the shutdown of the network, but rather take this as a challenge to be stronger and produce better content for the Filipino people.
“I pray that ABS-CBN would not become bitter but should become better.”
Valenciano is among the most celebrated artist in the country.
He is part of the longest-running musical Sunday variety show, ASAP Natin ‘To, and among the judges of Tawag ng Tanghalan.
Both programs together with other ABS-CBN shows were off-air from free TV after the station’s non-renewal of its franchise.
Despite being cleared from the accusations, the House Committee on Legislative Franchise still denied the Network’s renewal application.
The Network is struggling to put shows on free TV for Filipinos.
Valenciano added that the present leaders should embody the teachings of “THE Leader” about God as his example of a good leader. He also mentioned that the incumbent leaders should do the right actions and refrain from the wrong deeds.
“Our leader should learn from THE leader (God),” Valenciano stressed.
Today, Valenciano is part of Pray.com as their first Filipino Ambassador.
He performed at US National Day of Prayer where he first met the heads of Pray.com.
“His willingness and his excitement around praying for America…his willingness to pray for another country I think that was a blessing,” sais Steve Gatena -CEO Pray.com about the Filipino songer-composer.
