Good news for A2Z and ABS-CBN viewers!
Just recently, Zoe Network has forged a partnership that aims to extend its reach over the eastern side of the Philippines, especially to Tacloban.
Through Philippine Collective Media Corporation (PCMC), A2Z’s shows, which include Kapamilya programs, will soon become available in Leyte, Biliran, Southern Leyte, West Samar, Eastern Samar, with PCMC President Sofonias P. Gabonada Jr. and Zoe TV OIC-General Manager Rene S. Gonzalez signing the partnership on September 18.
A2Z also confirmed via a Facebook post on Tuesday, September 21, that the partnership was successful and would bring Kapamilya shows such as It’s Showtime, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, educational and spiritual programs, as well as the network’s very own primetime newscast into PRTV Channel 12.
PCMC also operates the Tacloban-based station Prime Media Holdings (PRIM), founded by Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, who recently partnered with ABS-CBN.
Through a Facebook post, PRIM announced that Kapamilya shows such as Hoy, Love You, Huwag Kang Mangamba, Marry Me Marry You, La Vida Lena, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. It’s Showtime, which will soon be aired on their channel, with more programs to follow.
Aside from the TV station, PCMC also runs 18 radio stations under Romualdez’s initials, Favorite Music Radio or FMR.
Earlier, the PCMC expressed its interest in finding media companies to form relationships with. According to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the company was “looking into entering into a business arrangement or partnership to collaborate with companies that have media content and facilities, but cannot broadcast the same due to lack of franchise, which will enable it to broadcast nationwide.”
This meant that A2Z was among the broadcasting stations that PCMC was meant to collaborate with.
Meanwhile, this will be beneficial to ABS-CBN given its current state to reach a wider audience. It can be recalled that the Kapamilya Network partnered with A2Z after it lost its ability to air on free TV.
ABS-CBN also teamed up with TV5 to air some of its shows apart from A2Z.
