The hit “Ulap” maker is back with a feel-good indie rock single, “Darling, Darling” and to add some fun, he also released a music video directed by the Filipino-Belgian director and film conservationist Dominic Bekaert of Zoopraxi Studio.
Sprinkled with retro-ish groovy party vibe, Rob Deniel’s latest music video offers eye-pleasing aesthetics and the theme definitely fits the vibe of his track. According to the director, he wanted to entice the listeners to reminisce about some fun memories of having house parties.
“We wanted to transcribe the warmth and fun of the song by bringing the audience back to the house parties we all miss and those precious moments we spend with our friends,” shared by Director Dominic Bekaert.
And the set is so nostalgic and colorful where Rob is absolutely having a good time playing his guitar in the spotlight while beaming with a big smile together with one of the members of Ppop Generation, Yumi Garcia. Director Bekaert also mentioned that the said music video was one of the smoothest shoots they had because it was a lot of fun.
“We always try to create something different for each video we make. This one allowed us to play more with a handheld camera to put us in the center of the action plus it was one of the smoothest shoots we’ve had and it was lots of fun !” he added.
In case you missed it, the said track is already the cover of Radar Philippines on Spotify and one of the tracks featured Apple Music’s Absolute OPM playlist on its first release on different digital music platforms.
Whatever you may think of the song “Darling,Darling”, it’s like confection for the ears, an endearment to someone and a thematic track that swiftly captures the heart of the listeners.
