Willie Revillame is supposedly grooming a female host to replace him in his game show, Wowowin, while he participates in politics.
The Wowowin host previously shared that he might be out from the show soon and he wanted someone to take his place. However, he didn’t mention any names.
“Sa tamang panahon, sasabihin ko po ‘yung magiging desisyon ko at sasabihin ko dito sa programang ito. Mawala man ako gusto ko meron pa ring isang host na makakausap n’yo,” Revillame said in Wowowin.
Revillame said that the decision is tough for him and that he is carefully thinking about it. He also noted that he doesn’t want Wowowin to end because he said the program is a big help–to the people.
“Ipagdadasal ko ‘tong mabuti, pag-iisipan ko ‘tong mabuti pero sana ho, nakikiusap ako, tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang programang ito.
“Ang ganitong programa hindi dapat nawawala. Itong programang ‘to ay dapat laging nandyan. Kasi ho, itong programang ‘to [ay] walang halong pagdadamot, walang halong pagkukunwari, galing po lahat sa puso ang pagbibigay ng saya at tulong dito.”
Rumors about Willie joining politics surfaced after President Rodrigo Duterte displayed his interest in him as he invited him to become one of his senators.
As of this writing, the Wowowin host still hasn’t officially announced his decision whether to leave the show or not.
Wowowin has been running for more than six years since it first premiered on GMA Network in May 2015. The show marked Revillame’s comeback to the Kapuso network after 17 years.
On Sunday, August 8, Kris Aquino made her TV comeback as Willie’s co-host wherein she hosted a TV special for Shopee’s shopping event.
