Many fans wondered if Alden Richards will return to hosting Eat Bulaga! after having no appearance in the show for the longest time.
During a press conference on Saturday, August 21–the Kapuso actor said he is to return on the noontime show after his lock-in taping for The World Between Us.
Aside from this, Asia’s Multimedia Star bared that he is also busy with his other commitments in showbiz.
“Opo. Babalik ako sa Eat Bulaga huwag po silang mag-alala. Pag natapos po kasi yung first lock-in taping namin, meron lang kaming ilang araw para magawa ang trabaho namin outside pero hindi po ganun kahaba kasi bumabalik kami agad sa quarantine after. Mahaba na po yung five days. Ganun lang po yung break namin. We wanted to finish the show,” Richards revealed.
The drama romance series will have a season break for about two months. It will pause on Friday, August 27, and will return on November 13 of this year.
The actor assured that he properly asked for the consent of the show’s management before taking a break from his hosting stint.
As of this time, the actor said he is still dealing with a hectic schedule. Adding to that, the implemented community quarantine in Luzon also added more weight to the problem.
“Kasi paglabas ko nagshu-shoot ako ng endorsements, meron po akong shoots for different commitments as well. Medyo mahirap po ang scheduling, kasi very tight din po. Sobrang laking hindrance po ng quarantine,” he explained.
It was in 2015 when Richards became part of the Philippines’ longest-running noontime variety show.
He appeared as a host in the segment, That’s My Bae.
On July 16, 2015, Richards unintentionally got paired to his Eat Bulaga! co-host, Maine ‘Yaya Dub’ Mendoza during an episode of the Juan for All, All for Juan segment.
They instantly became a love team, dubbed as AlDub.
Currently, the actor has been making on-and-off appearances on the noontime show.
