Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque are now officially together after months of relationship speculations.
Even though many people are happy for them, Alonzo admitted that revealing their relationship to the public was a difficult move for her.
In her recent interview with 24 Oras‘s Nelson Canlas, the 33-year-old actress said that she was not trying to hide their relationship, but was just being cautious.
“It’s not like I was trying to hide it. I think I was trying to be careful kasi given my past experience. Siyempre gusto kong masiguro muna kung saan siya pupunta bago siya gawing official,” she shared.
Dating rumors between Alonzo and Roque started around 2020. It was only in April 2021 that Alonzo admitted that she and Roque were dating but are not officially together yet.
However, she finally admitted their relationship to the public saying, “We only live once and happiness is best when shared. I want to share my happiness.
“Masyado akong careful. I’m afraid magkamali in front of the public eh ganon talaga and buhay. Minsan nagkakamali, bumabangon ka and then you learn from your mistakes and then you move on.
“Even sa past relationship ko, ‘di naman ako super open about it. I think most treasured moments ng relationship ay ‘yung moments na ‘di nasi-share sa social media. And I want to keep it that way,” said Alonzo.
Alonzo is currently in a mandatory quarantine at a hotel after spending a month-long vacation in California with Roque.
She recently signed with the GMA Network and has already made her appearance in a TV series.
On July 4, Alonzo’s guest appearance on Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho garnered a record-high viewership rating. The KMJS guesting marked her first TV appearance as a Kapuso.
