Kapamilya star Jane de Leon, who will play the iconic role of Darna, still has no idea who will be her co-stars in the upcoming Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series.
De Leon shared she is eager to meet her co-stars, especially her leading man and the one who will give life to the next Valentina, the archenemy of Darna.
“Kasi wala pa po akong naririnig kung sino po ang magiging Valentina. Sa whole cast po ay sobrang excited ako at sa mga direktor po nito,” De Leon shared.
In Star Magic’s Inside News, she confirmed she is already preparing for her role as Darna, which the taping will start in the last quarter of the year.
“Matagal din po akong nahinto sa pagti-training, especially po noong nagkaroon ng pandemya… Pero ngayon po na magkakaroon na ako ng time, kailangan ko po ulit mag-focus. Kahit emotionally and mentally po, kailangan talaga prepared na po talaga,” she said after being asked if she is prepared to take on the responsibilities of Darna.
De Leon has already wrapped up her remaining scenes in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, where she is portraying the role of Capt. Lia Mante.
“Ang Darna series ay magsisimula na kaya hintay-hintay lang po tayo at makikita n’yo na pong lilipad si Darna,” she assured the viewers.
Also rumored to be included is Joshua Garcia in the upcoming ‘Darna’ series. Director Rahyan Carlos unintentionally revealed during a virtual conference for the Star Magic Workshops.
Iza Calzado, meanwhile, confirmed today that she will be the one to pass the magic white stone to Narda (Jane de Leon), a role offered to her but did not push through and eventually went to Angel Locsin in 2005.
