Knowledge Channel continues to reap awards for its efforts to make education accessible and more fun for students as its show “MathDali,” which makes mathematics easier to learn through easy-to-understand and entertaining video lessons, bagged the awards for Best TV Show of the Year for Education while its host Robi Domingo took home the Best TV/Social Media Personality of the Year for Education in the Gawad Juan 2021 Awards.
“MathDali” was first produced in 2017 by ABS-CBN and the Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. to help young Pinoy students, particularly in Grade 4, face their fear of studying math via video lessons that are easier to comprehend and fun to watch at the same time—hosted by Robi Domingo alongside its math barkada of Igi Boy Flores, Vic Robinson, and Joj and Jai Agpangan.
With the ongoing pandemic affecting children’s schooling in the country, Knowledge Channel introduced its School at Home programming to help kids continue their studies while staying at home. It also relaunched “MathDali” as an interactive online show where students can participate via livestreaming on its various online platforms.
MathDali host Robi Domingo was ecstatic to receive back-to-back awards for the show, including the Best TV Show of the Year for Education and Best TV/Social Media Personality of the Year for Education.
“I just want to thank Biyaya ni Juan for this great recognition… despite what happened to our network, we never stopped and went back to our promise, which is to be always ‘in the service of Filipino’ no matter what,” Robi said during its online ceremonies last August 14.
He congratulated his co-nominees, including Coach Lyqa Maravilla, who also hosts an online show for Knowledge Channel entitled “Learn With Lyqa.”
“I really want to congratulate our fellow nominees we have here because we appreciate all the people who continuously make educational platforms available, especially for the youth,” he added in his speech.
Students can join Robi Domingo in “MathDali Live” every Wednesday at 11:30 AM, after Kuya Kim Atienza’s “Knowledge on the Go” on Knowledge Channel’s Facebook page (fb.com/knowledgechannel) and its official kumu channel (@knowledgechannelofficial).
The inaugural Gawad Juan Awards, organized by the youth-led non-profit organization Biyaya Ni Juan, honored individuals, organizations, and programs that have displayed exemplary actions in advocacies for nation-building.
