The hit “Ulap” maker is back with a feel-good indie rock single, “Darling, Darling.” Released under Vicor Records, his self-penned track touches old-school tunes with a tinged of pop-rock that make the whole track more endearing.
On its first release on different digital platforms, the said track is already the cover of Radar Philippines on Spotify and one of the tracks featured Apple Music’s Absolute OPM playlist.
That being said, “Darling, Darling” swiftly captures the heart of the listeners and definitely showcases the brimming talent of the young artist. On top of that, in such a short time, Rob has managed to endear himself to a lot of listeners with just the handful of songs that he’s written and released so far.
Aside from vibing into its feel-good tempo and romantic lyricism, Rob Deniel’s latest track has its hidden message that “Darling, Darling” is actually written and dedicated to himself.
“This song was actually about me. I quite didn’t expect it to look or sound like a love song. But this song is really about me trying to be sincere and transparent to all of the people around me.” Rob expressed.
It’s like reminding and patting his shoulders that it is okay to drown himself in curiosity and underneath the melodies of his own craft, ‘Darling there is something in your eyes/ But you can’t let it go, and something that I don’t know/ Darling let me love you one more time/ Those little games you play it’s alright.’
It might sound like a romantic track that is dedicated to his special someone but if you dive more into his penned verses, you’ll recognize that “Darling, Darling” is more than just a song. You can vibe beyond its catchy melodies and mid-tempo grooves while loving yourself a little more.
“Darling,Darling” is available now on all digital music platforms! Stay tuned for its official music video coming this 3rd week of August.
