Veteran entertainment columnist Lolit Solis has a post about Angel Locsin’s wedding to which netizens claimed to be a bitter reaction.
Celebrity couple Angel Locsin and Neil Arce recently tied the knot and shared the news in a vlog that premiered on their YouTube channel on Saturday, August 7.
Their revelation instantly received congratulations and good wishes from various celebrities and netizens.
On Monday, August 9, Solis posted that she got amused by the comments of people at Locsin’s wedding, which was unknown to the public.
“Natawa naman ako sa reaction ng marami sa biglang news na ikinasal na sila Angel Locsin at Neil Arce,Salve.
“Ang biruan bakit ganuon, akala nila magda-diet lang si Angel para maganda siyang mag walk down the aisle, pero ang nangyari, nag civil wedding na lang kay Mayor Lino Cayetano at biglaan pa at hindi ipinaalam,” said Solis.

Locsin and Arce got engaged in June 2019 and their initial plan was to get married in November 2020. The wedding did not take place because of the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
But the couple recently surprised everyone when they got married in a civil wedding ceremony that was officiated by Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano.
Solis also mentioned that Locsin’s wedding came as a shock as the actress wanted to share the special occasion with the people as she was not able to have a debut party when she turned 18.
“Baka daw nahirapan mag diet at mukhang matagal bago pumayat, kaya bulaga, kasal na lang bigla. Hah hah, joke joke, pero para ngang baka ganuon dahil si Neil mismo ang nagsabi nuon na gusto niya unforgettable ang wedding ni Angel dahil once in a lifetime lang mangyayari,” she said.
Although she greeted the couple, netizens noted that Solis sounded “bitter” and that she always has something negative to say about Locsin.
People said that Locsin and Arce still plan to have a church wedding and that Solis should just shut her mouth if she has nothing good to say.
